       BROWNS Homestay:
    Living with an Australian Homestay family enables students to engage in school and family life to quickly improve their English language skills. All families have been carefully selected and are certified with a government - authorised permit (Blue Card) to host international students.

       Clayfield College Boarding (Brisbane):
    Clayfield College offers a unique, family-style environment that is welcoming and conducive to establishing friendships. The environment allows new arrivals to adjust to life away from home quickly by providing them with peer support throughout their time at Clayfield College Boarding House.

    Whether you are arriving in Australia or leaving your accommodation to go to the airport, BROWNS offers a safe and convenient way for your child to travel directly between the Brisbane or Gold Coast Airport and their accommodation.

BROWNS Homestay

Homestay is one of the best ways to experience Australian way of life! Living in an Australian home will help you to use your English skills in everyday situations. Your host family will provide you with a private bedroom and desk, breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday and all meals on the weekend.

Each home is regularly visited by our Homestay Coordinator, so you can expect the highest standards. All homestays are within 50 minutes from BROWNS Brisbane Campus or BROWNS Gold Coast Campus by bus/train. It is sometimes possible to walk or bicycle to school.

Before you leave home you will be sent a profile of your host family, including photos, enabling you to become familiar with your Australian hosts.

As well as placing our students with homestay families, our Homestay Coordinator is also available to talk to you if you need advice about adjusting to family life in Australia.

BROWNS offers Single or Twin Share homestay with the option to personalise with our upgrade preferences:

  • Shared bathroom
  • Maximum 3 students per family (Students will be of different nationalities)

Clayfield College Boarding (Brisbane)

Students live in a twin share room within a two or three bedroom fully self-contained apartment.

Our students are supported by highly qualified and experienced Boarding House staff who provide each student with encouragement, discipline and guidance.

The College is located in the beautiful inner northern Brisbane suburb of Clayfield, only six and a half kilometres from the central business district and served well by public transport.

A bus stop to BROWNS English Language Centre in Brisbane City is located right at our door, with the Citytrain network also situated close by. The College is only five kilometres from the Domestic and International airports as well.

The key features of our accommodation offering include:
  • Fully secured and alarmed facilities
  • Twin share rooms within two and three bedroom self contained apartments including a shared bathroom
  • On-site, permanent Boarding staff
  • Access to School Nurse and 24-hour medical practitioners
  • Extensive in-house activity program (karaoke nights, theme dinners and concerts)
  • Nutritionally balanced meals prepared by two chefs are inclusive every day (7 days per week, 3 meals per day plus morning and afternoon tea).

  • Specialist tutors to assist with study and academic needs at no extra cost

    Airport Transfer

    BROWNS English Language School offers an airport pick-up or drop-off service. We service Brisbane Airport (International or Domestic) and Gold Coast “Coolangatta” Airport (International and Domestic).

    A friendly BROWNS driver will meet you at the airport and transport you directly to your Homestay, or alternative accommodation. At the end of your studies in Australia, you can choose our Airport drop-off service. Relax and enjoy your English language journey.
